PRE-TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Underwater Hockey NZ is committed to growing the size of the Inter-Club
Championships. It is our goal to increase the number of teams from 30
to 40 in the next couple of years. Aided by new pools that are being
developed and the growth of Underwater Hockey in secondary schools,
we predict that this will happen sooner rather than later. Your support
in sending as many teams to this tournament as possible helps us to
achieve these goals.
- Premier: 5 teams in 2005, 4 teams in 2004
- Womens Grade: 6 teams in 2005, 4 teams in 2004
- A Grade: 7 teams in 2005, 5 teams in 2004
- B Grade: 7 teams in 2005, 6 teams in 2004
- C Grade: 0 teams in 2005, 3 teams in 2004
The value of this tournament continues to increase as experience
gained at the Tournament has significant benefits to the development
of players. Teams that are attending the tournament for the first time
will notice a significant increase in their standard of play.
