The Dorsal UWH Stick - NZ made
Following numerous inquiries regarding the new Dorsal Stick, here is a summary of
its features, suggestions for customizing and some price options:
FEATURES
Composition - Durable, plastic composite with high rubber content for advanced
puck handling & customization / shaping
Bevel - Suitable for most pucks with slight taper for effective play but easily
customized.
Light texture - Sufficient for immediate play. No "wear in" factor.
Cranked handle - Allows playing surfaces to sit close to pool bottom.
Safety - Smooth surfaces and radii (does not splinter)
Compliance - meets CMAS rules (homogenous materials, floats, regulated size and
shape)
Shape - beveled front and inside edges, comfortable curved handle, small but blunt
spiking end with tapered curve, Right hand only at this stage.
Colour - uniform throughout, never needs painting, black and white in stock.
Special colour runs for large orders (e.g. for schools or mini-league)
Identification - recessed both sides of handle for naming, enough for club/school
details as well. Use permanent pen.
Uniformity - injection moulded. Every stick is identical.
Customizing - Texture on the playing edges can be easily modified, depending on
the player's style, type of puck and amount of lift required. Use a wire brush for
medium texture, or a fine wood rasp in a circular motion for a heavier texture.
For those wishing to purchase pre-textured sticks, these are available at an
additional cost.
